Categories, Categories, Categories

Every item in your home is like another in some way. In your drawers, socks, underwear and bras are all undergarments that usually live alongside each other. That same is true in the home office, where pens, scissors and highlighters are all office supplies. As you sort through the items you plan to keep, group them together in respective categories that make sense to how you use them. What might make a logical category for you may not for someone else, and that’s OK. If you bake, you may keep cornmeal with baking items, whereas someone else might store it with grains like oatmeal and quinoa. Think about how you use items, and when you restock your closets and cupboards, house like items together.
